Incorporated in January 1992, Mega Thrills
Limited offers aviation thrills and
excitement for most ages. David Chowen
established the company whilst flying for
British Airways as a Boeing 737 captain.
Originally the company was known as Sky
Leisure Aviation Ltd, based at Shoreham
airport and offering flight training to
anyone who wanted to become a pilot. After
many successful years producing hundreds of
new pilots, the trading name and client base
was sold to a commercial flight training
school based at Redhill, who have continued
to train pilots from Shoreham to this day.
Now a Training Captain on Boeing 737's,
David believes everyone should experience the
thrills of piloting an aircraft or any other
flying machine.
As a flight instructor and examiner for
over 20 years, David said "It's amazing just
how much can be achieved during a trial
flying lesson, within just half an hour the
student will be climbing, descending and
turning the aircraft, even an assisted
takeoff is possible if the weather conditions
permit. The Instructor should let you fly the
aircraft for about 80% of the flight, just
about everything except the landing"
David's flying career includes Helicopter
flying, Gliding, Parachute Pilot, Tail Wheel
Flying and Banner Towing along with the
Airline day job. His passion for aviation is
